Saint-Eusèbe & Auxerre

The district of St. Eusebius itself has long been the bourgeois part of the city. Point of trade; houses with carriage doors, even hotels, decorate several of its streets. On the square rises the ancient church of the abbey and since Priory of Saint-Eusebe, center of the borough, and whose holder was lord censor of the parish with the bishop of Auxerre from the first centuries of the Middle Ages.

This seigniory extended over the vast parish of Saint-Eusebe, which went from the place Charles Lepere to the street of Eglény and thence to the walls of the city of the thirteenth century, on the south-west side, and skirted the street of the Temple in all its length, to return to the same place Charles Lepère.
